Would you like to be part of a great team helping to improve maternity services for local parents?
The Maternity Services Liaison Committee (MSLC) is a group of people interested in enhancing care for women and their families at West Middlesex Maternity Unit. Our members include parents, health professionals and other local people who offer support to new parents, such as doulas and antenatal teachers – although anyone with an interest in maternity care can join us.
We aim to listen to the experiences of local parents and use their feedback to help improve the maternity service so that everyone who uses it feels supported and well cared for. We meet eight times a year, usually in the hospital, between 10:00am and 12:00pm.
Recently the MSLC assisted the maternity service in securing funding to improve facilities in the unit and initiated 'Walking the Patch' – an initiative to hear opinions from mothers and families.
The MSLC is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and make a real difference to local services. Above all we want to give people using the unit an opportunity to help make it the best it can be.
If you would like to get involved or would like more information please email us and mark your email 'For the attention of the MSLC'. We look forward to welcoming you to our team!
