Specialist Bereavement Midwife

Sadly, not all pregnancies have a successful outcome and some end with the loss of a much-wanted baby. The parents and family of a baby who has died can be faced with many difficult decisions, including how and when to say goodbye. During this devastating time it is very normal for people to feel overwhelmed and to find it hard to take in information or make any plans.

Our bereavement suite provides a safe and supportive environment in which parents and families can receive practical and emotional help from our Specialist Bereavement Midwife, Sally Kelly.

Not only will we be there at the beginning to help you through the early stages of shock and grief, we can provide ongoing support as you come to terms with your loss.

A chaplaincy service is available for parents who may need spiritual support.

More information on coping with the bereavement of a child can be found here.
